Winter Concerts Approaching!

This year's Winter Concerts are approaching!  The Winter Orchestra Concert is Thurs., Dec. 12th and the Winter Band Concert is Tues., Dec. 17th.  Both will start at 7pm and be held in the Multipurpose Room at GWMS.  Check out the flyer for each on the side of this page!

Well Done 8th Grade Band!

The 8th grade band members is a wonderful job Friday evening at the Lyons Township High School Band Night event.  The students performed well and represented GWMS with pride.  That was a great way to start off our year!  Well done!

Free Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concert at Morton East HS

The world renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra will be giving a FREE concert at Morton East High School on Wed., Sep., 18th at 7pm.  This is a wonderful opportunity to hear one of the world's best orchestras, and for FREE!  Click on the link on the right side of this page for the details.

Mr. Rauch to Perform at FitzGerald's in Berwyn

Hey all!  I hope summer is going well for you.  I wanted to let you know of a performance that I am going to be involved in.  This Sunday, June 30th, at 6:00pm I am playing with the VanderCook College of Music Graduate Jazz Band as the opener for the Pete Ellman Big Band.  The performance is at FitzGerald's Jazz Club in Berwyn.  Admission is $10, but $5 for those 17 and under.  Come and check it out if you can!  More info here.

Summer is here!

Congrats on making it to th end of another school year!  Lots of hard work was put in this school year and it paid off with some excellent perforances.  I have attached the lists of what to practice to help guide your summer practicing.  Also, don't forget to check out the summer camps at LTHS and/or private lessons!  It is very important to keep playing during the summer so you are ready to go when school resumes Wednesday, August 28th.
