Winter Concert Details for all band and orchestra students!

Our winter concert is 2 weeks from today!  The concert is on Thursday, December 13th and it starts at 7pm in the large gym at GWMS.  The students were given a hard copy of the details for their performance today; there is also an electronic copy linked on this page.  Please let me know if you have any questions. 

6th Grade Band to Book 2!

The 6th grade band has completed Book 1 and is now on to Book 2 of the Essential Elements 2000 series.  The flyer that the students got yesterday is posted.  Congrats to the band on this accomplishment!

8th Grade Band Workshop-Final Details

The final details are now posted for the 8th Grade Band Workshop at LT!  Thank you to those who are able to make it.  It is going to be a great experience.  Check out the link for everything you need to know about the event.

Order your GWMS Music Department Polo Shirt

Now is the time to order your music department polo shirt!  This is the shirt that we will use as part of our concert attire.  Please get your order in to Mr. Rauch by Tuesday, October 30th.  The order form is linked on this page.

8th Grade Orchestra Workshop at LTHS

The 8th grade orchestra students will be participating in the 8th Grade Orchestra Workshop at Lyons Township High School on Thursday, November 1st.  The students take a field trip over to LTHS North Campus for the workshop with the LT orchestra directors and then present a performance that evening!  The details are linked on this page.  Our students will need a ride to LTHS for the evening performance.  They need to arrive by 6:40, the concert ends at approximately 9:15.  Click here for a map and directions.

8th Grade Band Workshop at LTHS

Posted on this page is a letter about the 8th Grade Band Workshop at LTHS on Tues., Nov., 6th, which is a Teacher Institute, a non-attendance day for students.  Mr. Rauch needs to find out who is interested and able to attend the event.  Please read the letter and return or email a copy of the signed Interest/Permission Slip by Wed., Oct. 17th.  A hard copy was sent home with the 8th grade band students today.  Contact Mr. Rauch if you have any questions.

Private lessons are 1 on 1 instruction with a professional on your instrument.  These lessons ensure a student's continued progress and enhance a students musical experience.

Information about private lessons has been posted to this site.  Mr. Rauch also has a list of private teachers in the area.  Please send him an email if you would like a copy of that list.
