Mr. Rauch to Perform at FitzGerald's in Berwyn

Hey all!  I hope summer is going well for you.  I wanted to let you know of a performance that I am going to be involved in.  This Sunday, June 30th, at 6:00pm I am playing with the VanderCook College of Music Graduate Jazz Band as the opener for the Pete Ellman Big Band.  The performance is at FitzGerald's Jazz Club in Berwyn.  Admission is $10, but $5 for those 17 and under.  Come and check it out if you can!  More info here.

Summer is here!

Congrats on making it to th end of another school year!  Lots of hard work was put in this school year and it paid off with some excellent perforances.  I have attached the lists of what to practice to help guide your summer practicing.  Also, don't forget to check out the summer camps at LTHS and/or private lessons!  It is very important to keep playing during the summer so you are ready to go when school resumes Wednesday, August 28th. 

Spring Concerts are Next Week!

Our Spring Concerts will soon be here!  The Orchestras and GWMS Choir perform on Tuesday, May 21st and the Bands perform on Thursday, May 23rd.  Both performances begin at 7pm and will be held at GWMS.  The flyer with call times and attire is linked to this page.  See you there!

May 2013 Q and F School of the Month!

Exciting news!  Our band and orchestra program has been awarded the May 2013 "School of the Month."  There will be a month-long display of GWMS music items and trophies at the Quinlan and Fabish store in Burr Ridge.  All students also qualify for a special 10% discount on instruments, print music, and accessories.  Stop in over there and check it out!

Yearbook Pictures Tomorrow

All band and orchestra students are reminded to wear their black GWMS Music Department polo shirt to school tomorrow (Friday, March 22nd).  We will be taking our pictures for the yearbook.

High Note Festival Information Now Posted!

The first round of information about the Symphonic Band and Symphonic Orchestra's High Note Festival performance is now posted.  This is the same flyer that was handed out today to the students.

7th Grade Band and Orchestra Ordering Respective Book 3's

Both the 7th grade band and 7th grade orrchestra are ready for their next method book.  The flyer with the ordering information is linked on this page.  All money is due by Friday, March 15th!
